If you purchased a home in Metro Atlanta prior to January 1, 2011, please remember to file for your Georgia Homestead Exemption!
Most of the counties make it very easy to submit a simple application and typically just need your driver's license number, car tag number and sometimes proof of residence, Warranty Deed and/or Settlement Statement (that you would have received at closing).
